Computing Gateway
The Computing Gateway program is ideal for high school students and recent graduates who want to live in Victoria's West Shore community while studying in full-time or part-time capacities.
How does it work?
The specialized Computing Gateway curriculum enables you to explore your interests and build strong programming skills, leading to further ³Ô¹ÏÍø in Computer Science, Data Science or Software Engineering.
You'll spend your first two years as a full-time or part-time student at UVic's , and can also take online courses. When you've met the requirements to enter your preferred major, you'll transfer to the main UVic campus to finish your degree.

If you want to transfer into the Computing Gateway program from another post-secondary institution, contact your recruiter to discuss your eligibility. You might be able to apply directly to Computer Science, Data Science or Software Engineering at our main campus.
